Learning REIKI

Introduction to Reiki:

It is beyond human guess as to when the vast Universe came into existence. The number of stars, planets and other heavenly bodies in the Universe and how far it is extended is also beyond human imagination. But it is now agreed by scientists that there is a phenomenon of energy in the Universe and each and every thing in the Universe is made up of energy in its different manifestations. Religiously it is believed that there is a Supreme Power that has created this energy or maya to further manifest all that we see and feel in the Universe. This very energy that has created everything in the universe is also continuously sustaining and operating everything in the universe. It is simultaneously manifest in each atom that goes into making all these things. It is also operating in each atom in the form of wonderful movement of electrons and protons.

This very energy is called REIKI in Japanese language. Rei means universal and Ki means life force energy. This energy is known in different names in different languages. This Reiki energy is manifest on this earth also in all forms and in the human form also. This energy is the source of life to all creatures on the earth. It is sustaining them and keeping them alive. Our human body is thus fully dependent on this energy for sustenance and keeping healthy. In the normal course, this energy enters into human energy system through the medulla oblongata at the back of the head where the skull meets the spine.

Nature of Reiki:

Reiki energy is pervading the whole universe and is available abundantly and endlessly. This is the most intelligent energy and has devised it perfect laws by which the whole universe is automatically being operated. Similarly birth and death of all creatures, their growth and development, their health and sickness, and all their activities are governed by it. This is the most powerful energy and is capable of doing all things that we can imagine including the movement of the mightiest stars to that of the tiniest particles. Reiki energy is also the most innocent and loving energy. It can not harm anybody in any way. No Reiki practitioner can put anybody to harm with his bad intentions. Though he may harm himself with his sinful intention.
Despite this, it is the gentlest energy and takes loving care of all the creatures including human beings. To the Reiki Channel this energy is always available immediately on calling or remembering it. It acts instantaneously and starts healing without delay. It is doubtlessly sure to act for the healing it is desired to do. Thus it is the most dependable energy in almost all our needs.
